Attention Families:

Have you ever felt that no matter how much money you make, you seem to find some way to spend every last penny and sometimes more?

Have you ever...

  • Felt ashamed or embarrassed about your financial situation?
  • Felt that you should be doing better, but don't know what's wrong?
  • Known that you are intelligent and make decent money, but don't know why you can't save or stick to a budget?
  • Bounced a check or felt nervous when you swiped your card at the cash register?
  • Met with a bankruptcy attorney and felt the shame and fear of what was getting ready to happen?
  • Missed a wedding or special event because you couldn't afford to take your whole family?

Or maybe you have student loans and credit card debt that are getting in the way of your savings goals? Or feel unsure or overwhelmed when it comes to creating a plan for your retirement, savings and monthly spending?

My sole purpose is to help families like you, who feel like they are treading water financially. My name is Apryl Pope and I show families how to live debt free lives and be empowered to gain and maintain control over their finances.

I have been where you ARE right now. A few short years ago, my husband and I had a toddler and a baby on the way and although our lifestyle didn't show it, we were drowning in debt and felt like we didn't have enough money to do all the things we wanted to enjoy in life. We used our credit card for everything and although we paid it off every month, there was always 1 or 2 months each year where we couldn't pay the balance in full and it made me sick to my stomach.

With a brand new family comes awesome opportunities to try new things, take family vacations and buy fun “baby stuff.” This just so happened to be the time we were advancing in our careers and thinking about buying a home.

On the outside, everything looked great, nice cars, stable jobs and a loving family. But, our savings was non-existent, we did not have an emergency fund and most of our monthly income was going out to pay off debts in the form of student loans, credit cards and our car payment. We didn't feel like we were spending impulsively, we had a pretty normal life where we took non-expensive vacations, went out to eat occasionally and only went shopping when necessary. (Although, I did find myself at Target buying "needs" every week). We couldn't figure out why we were making decent money, but couldn't get ahead. .

Have you ever felt this way? Or ever felt overwhelmed about your financial situation and the fact that you don't feel like you have enough money to travel and save for your retirement? Thought you would NEVER pay off your student loans?

I've been there and I've figure out the way to BREAKTHROUGH that vicious cycle of living paycheck to paycheck.

After we had our second son, I decided that we needed a drastic change. This is when we invested in a financial coach  and it completely transformed our lives. Once I realized that a life without debt would allow us to use our income on things we WANT instead of on people we owe, I was on a mission to attack our debt and start creating the life I really wanted for my family.

In addition to that coaching program, I read dozens  of money books, spent countless hours watching episode of The Suze Orman Show and Gail Vaz-Oxlade's “Til Debt Do us Part” and listened to The Dave Ramsey Show and Robert Kiyosaki's “Rich Dad. Poor Dad” podcasts. I was completely engrossed in the world of personal finance and I just couldn't get enough. I then went on to complete Dave Ramsey's Fundamentals of Coaching course, started teaching the high school course Foundations in Personal Finance and leading the 9-week Financial Peace University Course for adults. To say this became my world, is an understatment.

Because I am so passionate about this subject and helping people get their finances on track, friends and family started asking me all kinds of “money” questions and I found myself "coaching" people on their personal financial issues and I love it!

This new "coaching" felt natural because I am a teacher by trade, my Master's Degree is in Mathematics Education and I studied Economics in college, so I've been teaching “numbers” for awhile. I also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer, so helping people improve their quality of life is near and dear to my heart. After working with so many families, I started to notice a trend, they were completely blaming themselves and feeling embarrassed about their situations. If that is you, I have someting to tell you...

It's not YOUR FAULT

Did you know that it's not your fault??? Majority of us were not taught the proper way to handle finances. It's not taught in school, our parents had a different financial reality than we do today and there is so much conflicting information in books and online, that the whole issue becomes confusing and frustrating.

If this is you, you are in LUCK, because I am here to help you forgive what you've done in the past, forget your old habits and move on!
